About The Artist

Since completing a Fine Art degree at Coventry Faculty of Art in 1983, Theresa has been living in London, and working both as a printmaker and free-lance illustrator. She has had work published in the NME, Melody Maker, and Legal Business magazines, and in an Encyclopaedia of Printmaking Techniques. She has also worked on a series of illustration projects for Westminster City Council.

In 1986, she set up a silk-screen printing workshop, with two other artists, and the help of a Prince’s Trust Grant.

From 1988, she became involved in designing and constructing costumes for the Nottinghill Carnival.

Concentrating full-time on printmaking, these other interests have helped to feed what she does today, using various techniques including Etching, Drypoint, Mezzotint, and Collography. She is now based in Kingsgate workshops, and a member of the Greenwich Printmakers, and South bank Printmakers, regularly exhibiting with them, and other galleries listed below.

She has recently been teaching printmaking at the Hampstead School of Art.
