Sun spurge – by Christina Bonnett
Gicl?e Print
Description
Acrylic on board – painting by Christina Bonnett
This pretty garden weed is definately NOT edible, in fact the milk it exudes when broken can cause intense pain in the mouth, vomiting, and other signs of poisoning if ingested.
If you have this in your garden it would be wise to educate any children that are present or better still, keep them away.
Euphorbia helioscopia is commonly found on disturbed or waste ground in most of Europe, northern Africa, and eastward through most of Asia.
I has some old folk names including wart spurge, umbrella milkweed and madwoman’s milk.
This is available as a high quality Gicl?e Print on Archival paper.
The picture is supplied mounted and ready to frame.
