Many of the artworks offered for sale in our Gallery are already framed at our
premises in North Devon. Some are offered unframed and you may purchase a picture and take it to your own framer, but many people find selecting framing daunting. We have a selection of attractive framing options for the various paintings and prints, which we hope you like. If you prefer, we can frame your picture and deliver it anywhere in the UK, ready to hang.
Outlines also offers a comprehensive bespoke picture framing service for prints and paintings that are for sale unframed.
We have an extensive range of solid wood mouldings in stock from several different
suppliers.
In addition we can obtain any moulding from our Suppliers' ranges extending the
available choice substantially.
Our high quality ¨Bainbridge™¨and ¨Colourmount™¨ mountboards
include a 'state of the art' archival conservation range.
All work is carried out at our own premises and can usually be
completed within a week to ten days.
We make every effort to accommodate the odd ¨emergency¨ too!
You will receive personal and friendly advice tailored to your
needs and personal taste with sensitive attention to detail and content.
The Artwork is carefully secured using archival quality hinges. This is an acid-free method, which will not harm the print.
We only use 'Conservation' quality mount board and barrier board.
The mounted Artwork is then set into the frame of your choice. Genuine picture glass is used.

Framing Works on Canvas
Works on canvas can be framed in a variety of ways, including straight onto the edge, or mounted on a board making a 'tray'. They are usually mounted on wooden stretchers of varying depth. They are not usually framed under glass.

Framing Works on Board and other materials
Artworks on board can be treated as works on paper under glass or, if the medium is suitable, without glass.
Some Artworks are somewhat 3-dimensional and can be set in a box frame
